Review 2010

Bulk materials handling professionals from all over the world met at the BulkSolids Europe Conference & Exhibition on September 9 and 10, 2010, in Glasgow, Scotland. The event attracted some 150 participants from 22 countries who came to discuss and to learn about the latest trends and developments in bulk materials handling. Incorporating the IMechE Symposium "New Frontiers in Bulk Material Handling," about 50 lectures were presented during the conference and 20 companies used the accompanying exhibition to present their products and capabilities. Energy efficiency was the central keyword at the event, other prominent topics were environment protection, simulation and biomass handling. 



Some 150 participants from 22 countries worldwide proved that BulkSolids Europe truly is an important international event. Attendees could benefit from a wealth of knowledge and experience available from 50 presentations, a poster show and 20 comanies at the exhibition. The two-day event, this time co-organized with the Bulk Materials Handling Committee of the IMechE, can be summarized as a compact, top calibre event on transporting, storing and handling of bulk solids, with a focus on energy and environment protection.
